St Mary's is among the greatest of medieval parish churches and has a rich history dating back nearly a thousand years. In this website we hope to share with you something of the beauty and grandeur of our building, and our work and worship. Through the centuries the spire of Newark Parish Church has been a marker for travellers and for the people of the town. The church has been a focus for times of joy and celebration and for consolation in times of pain and hardship. It is a privilege to worship in this fine church and we welcome all visitors and pilgrims. The Church is open for visitors 8.30am to 4pm Monday to Saturday.
